The Illinois Early Childhood Fellows Program was created by six Chicago funders whose work includes a significant commitment to the field of early childhood.

The Boeing Company supports programs that develop social, emotional and cognitive skills in children from birth to age five that are needed for success in school and life. Boeing’s early learning charitable investments focus on programs that aid parents as their child's first and most important teacher, provide information and support to parents, develop formal and informal caregivers, and increase public awareness.

Grand Victoria Foundation funds Illinois-based efforts to increase access to quality, affordable child care and early childhood education. Through its Communityworks program, it also encouraged early childhood investments by Illinois community foundations.

Founded in 1947 by Irving Harris, a successful businessman, The Irving Harris Foundation is a private family foundation that takes a strategic approach to funding programs, policies, research, and organizations that support and advocate for optimal early childhood development, with an emphasis on the prenatal period through the first three years of life.

The McCormick Foundation commits more than half of its resources each year to programs affecting children, and is especially interested in early childhood programs designed to deliver more accessible and higher-quality educational experiences for our youngest citizens.

A private family foundation based in Chicago, the J. B. and M. K. Pritzker Family Foundation is deeply committed to the pursuit of social justice and to shaping innovative and effective strategies for solving society’s most challenging problems.

Evanston Community Foundation builds, connects, and distributes resources and knowledge through local organizations to help Evanston thrive now and forever as a vibrant, inclusive and just community. A key priority is ensuring that every child enters kindergarten ready to learn. Evanston Community Foundation is the fiscal sponsor of the Illinois Early Childhood Fellowship.
