Illinois organizations in the field of early childhood whose work includes a focus on public policy and advocacy, applied research, or broad planning can benefit directly – and can help build the leadership of the field -- by hosting and mentoring an Illinois Early Childhood Fellow. Host organizations must have the organizational capacity and commitment to supervise and mentor the Fellow, integrate them into the organization, and provide them with both specific projects and a broad range of experiences. The organization must demonstrate a commitment to leadership development and diversity. The Fellows Program reimburses the host organization for the salary and benefits of the Fellow and provides a small budget for organizational development related to increasing leadership diversity/equity or increasing internal leadership development. For information on current and past hosts click here. If your organization is interested in hosting an Illinois Early Childhood Fellow, please contact info@ilearlychildhoodfellows.org.
